I have had the opportunity to have worked in some of best venues in London. Over those decades I have always had the pleasure of working with the Murphy family. Since 2014 Yes Chef arrived on the scene and this time the Murphy’s went back to basics in terms of what suits hospitality and the need for a tailor made fruit and vegetable purveyor. Yes Chef has continued to grow as a company with the special attention of having that one to one specialist feeling and a company whose motto should be “We never say no”! I look forward to working with the family for many decades to come.
I first met Danny when he started supplying me at my restaurant La Tante Claire, where I gained the coveted 3 Michelin stars.
I have always found Danny knowledgeable, enthusiastic and always at the end of the phone no matter what time I have called him.
We have gone on to become good friends and have spent many days together mushroom picking in the New Forest and Epping Forest (when it was allowed).
I wish Danny and the boys continued success with Yes Chef.

I have known Mr Murphy since the late eighties. He started supplying me at my first restaurant Olivios and I took Mr Murphy to my other restaurants including Zafferano’s where I got my Michelin Star.
I have always felt it’s so important to keep a good relationship with your suppliers and I have a great one with Mr Murphy. His skills and knowledge are second to none. In fact, in my own personal circle of friends, he is known as the legendary Mr Murphy!

My first recollections of Danny goes back some 35 years when we originally met in his restaurant, the Café Rouge. Danny at that time did not know a great deal about the restaurant business and asked if he could come in to our Kitchen and watch a lunch time service, from that moment I first felt his passion and obsession for our industry, even back then I found it infectious and still do to this day. His knowledge of his subjects is an inspiration and never fail to amaze me.
I have lost count of how many times he has graciously supported and worked with me on my numerous cook books and how many times he has pulled the rabbit out of the hat for me (or should I say carrot) when struggling to get an un-used or rarely used vegetable or fruit for a particular shot. With his son Paul and now Martin and Greg alongside him, Yes Chef goes from strength to strength, the love is truly instilled! In Danny and the boys and their dedicated ‘Yes Chef’ team, you always get all the support, passion and skill, you will need to help make your job easier, long may it continue.

I first met Danny and Paul Murphy when I was a chef de partie at Gary Rhodes in 1996. For the last 21 years I can’t remember a time when I had to ring up about something I wasn’t happy with.
